Donald R. Warden

Donald R Warden, 80, of Camp Hill passed away peacefully at Holy Spirit Hospital on Friday, January 4, 2019.  

Born August 4, 1938 in Shippensburg, PA, he was the son of the late Paul and Virginia (Goodyear) Warden.  He served in the Marine Corps and later opened Warden’s Gulf Station in Carlisle which he owned and operated for over 30 years.  

Don faithfully attended Christian Life Assembly and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.

Don is survived by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Shirley Jean (Greenfield) Warden; his daughter, Lori A (George) Tyson of Enola and his son, Craig A (Jennifer) Warden of New Cumberland.  He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Megan (Dave) Wolf of Camp Hill; Grace, Riley, Emelia, and Jack Warden of New Cumberland and his great-granddaughter, Abigail May Wolf.

Don was preceded in death by his brother Richard Warden.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, January 15th at 7PM at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 51 N Enola Dr, Enola, PA.  Prior to the service, a visitation will be held from 6 to 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bethesda Mission, PO Box 3041, Harrisburg, PA 17105.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Warden family.

So sorry to hear of Don's passing. My sincerest condolences to the family. Don was always so good to Jerry.
when he was growing up with Craig. Loved being yours & Don's neighbor on Cherokee Ave.

I worked for Don in my teenage years at Warden’s Gulf (over 50 years ago!). He taught me so much. He was a good mentor. I always wanted to be like him. I am so sorry for your loss.
