Janet A. Mundis, 88 of Enola, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Country Meadows retirement community. She was born on November 12, 1929 in Harrisburg, daughter of the late Paul W. Hare Sr. & Leola (Reed) Hare.

She was a graduate of Enola High School, was a secretary for the principal at the former Midway Elementary School in the East Pennsboro School District.  Janet loved being a homemaker, raising her three children & later in life spoiling & adoring her four grandchildren & four great-grandchildren.  Janet was also a member of the Railroad Retirees Club & along with her husband Ken where they planned and organized bus trips for the group.

She is survived by her children, sons Kenneth L. Mundis Jr. (Pam), David P. Mundis (Cindy), and daughter Kay A. Barrett, also four grandchildren, Jennifer Tienter (Justin), Jaime Fishel (Bob), Matthew Mundis (Nicole), & Eric Mundis (Megan) & four great-grandchildren. Janet is survived by brothers Paul W. Hare Jr. (Joanne) of Chicago, IL, and George Dinius (Sally) of Bradenton, FL, brother-in-law Glenn Mundis as well as many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years Kenneth L. Mundis Sr., her father Paul W. Hare Sr., her maternal mother Leola (Reed) Hare, step-mother Ann Long & her step-father Samuel Long. Also her twin sister Jean Hare & son-in-law James Barrett.

A viewing will be held at Enola Emmanuel United Methodist Church on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm, and again on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 10am followed by a service at 11am. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA immediately following the church service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Celtic Hospice & Home Health of Mechanicsburg or Enola Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
