John W. Luther, Jr.

John W. Luther, Jr., 80, of Enola passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Enola, PA. Born February 16, 1937 in Enola, he was son of the late John W. Luther, Sr. and Dorothy Irene (Single) Luther. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Carol A. (Ringland) Luther, on February 4, 2017. 

Surviving are his daughters Diana Luther, Patty Bender and her husband Steve, and Jaime Deimler and her husband Gene. He was beloved "Pap" to his eight grandchildren, Sarah Reifsnyder, Kate Walls, Wesley, Cameron and Sydni Bender, and Paige, Hannah and Zakkary Deimler. Also surviving are his siblings, Cindy (Luther) Cooper and husband Paul of Harrisburg, Karen Luther of Mechanicsburg, Kathy Luther of Camp Hill, and Gary Luther of Arizona, and step-mom Ethel (Foltz) Luther of Dover.

He was a member of Enola First Church of God for over 50 years.

He enjoyed country music, both listening, playing and singing, spending time at home, and he hunted most of his life.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017, from 10:00AM-11:00AM with service thereafter at Enola First Church of God, 9 Sherwood Circle, Enola, PA. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA.

Contributions can be made to Homeland Hospice.

How we will miss this wonderful man who sang so beautifully many years at our church for many years.He always had a smile and we know our whole church will miss him.
