Joseph P. Ondrejicka

Joseph P. Ondrejicka, 82, of Mechanicsburg passed away peacefully at home on February 1, 2014 surrounded by his family. Born in Lebanon, PA, he was the son to the late Michael and Anna (Jacobs) Ondrejicka.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1950-1954, and he was a graduate of the Penn State York Campus. Joe was a retired computer programmer for the Navy Depot in Mechanicsburg. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where he sang in the church choir and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was best known as a family man who enjoyed golf, gardening, hunting, volunteering at the Mechanicsburg Senior Center. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were his greatest joy.

Surviving is his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia; a son, Joel Ondrejicka; a daughter, Jill Ranny; a sister, Anna Ditzler; 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-granchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 10AM-11AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Enola. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11AM.

Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 225 Salt Rd., Enola, PA 17025 or Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
