Phyllis J. (Wirt) Walker

Phyllis J. (Wirt) Walker, 67, of Enola passed away peacefully on January 24, 2016 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence surrounded by her family.
She was a 1966 graduate of Central Dauphin East High School.
She was an insurance underwriter for Commercial Casualty and Property at Maryland Casualty, Harleysville and General Accident that expanded into a number of other insurance companies including Lebanon Mutual.
She was a cashier at Giant in Enola for 6 years.
She also taught Bible School, helped make peanut butter eggs, roast peanuts and cashews at United Methodist Church of West Fairview.
She was a Girl Scout Leader for several years, a former member of the Insurance Women as well as Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church in Harrisburg, and she went through the Red Cross Swimming Program.
She loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter to the late J. Lester and Evelyn (King) Wirt.
Surviving are her 2 daughters, Angela (Mark) Reed and Stacy (Randy) Bender; her siblings, Darlene Hillegas, Jim Wirt, Gary Wirt, Marvin Wirt, Raymond Wirt, and Cindy Miller, and 5 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 6PM-7PM at the River of God Church 747 Wertzville Rd. Enola PA 17025.
Services will begin on Friday at 7PM at the church.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of Central PA.
The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Walker family.
