Shirley A. Kemler

Shirley A. Kemler, 76, of Enola died on Sunday, August 23, 2015 surrounded by her family at home.

She worked many different jobs; however, her most important one was when she worked at PA Dutch Megs ( Unilever) where she met her husband, Richard W. Kemler, Sr. who passed away in 2011. She was on a bowling league for Mixed Nuts at ABC West for many years. She loved playing bingo with her sisters. Shirley was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Enola.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Kemler, Sr. with whom she was married for 51 years. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marian Eshelman and 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Surviving are her 2 sons, Richard Kemler, Jr. (Tammy) of Middletown, Kenneth Kemler (Kathy) of York Haven; a daughter, Cheryl Horton (Ed) of Enola; 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Louis Shaffer; a brother, Stanley Shaffer of FL; sister, Jean Miller (Don) of Highspire, and sister Carol Smith (Don) of Hummelstown.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 10AM-11AM at the Sullivan Funeral Home, Enola.

Services will begin at 11AM

Entombment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Celtic Hospice, 150 Scharberry Lane, Mars, PA 16046.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Kemler family.

Sorry for your loss. Aunt Shirley ALWAYS treated me like her real niece and not just a relative through marriage. She was a great lady! I loved her dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
