Beverly E. Peffer

Beverly E. Peffer, 85 of Enola passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Kinkora Nursing Home. 

She is survived by her brother Howard, half-brother and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 11AM in the Stone Church Cemetery, Enola.

Robert H. "Bob" Lane

Robert H. “Bob” Lane, age 90, of Harrisburg, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, surrounded by his family.  He was born on October 24,1928, to George William Lane and Ruth Inez Lane in Luzerne, PA.

Louis Michael Bobish

Louis Michael Bobish, age 72 of Enola, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on February 23, 2019.  His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him during his struggle with cancer and ultimately gave him peace. 

Louis was born on May 17, 1946 in Harrisburg.  He was the son of the late Michael and Ruth Bobish. Louis was a graduate of John Harris High School and served in the United States Army Reserve. 

Ammon H. Bollinger

Ammon H. Bollinger of Enola passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 after reaching the age of 87 with his loving family by his side.

In 1950, he met the love of his life, Violet. They lived together inseparably for over 68 years together and raised three children; Fred, Anna Mae and Tina.

He is survived by his devoted wife Violet; his son Fred, wife Terry, and daughter Heather; and daughters Courtni and Star; his daughter Tina, her friend Leonard, and daughters Crystal and Melinda.

Boyd G. Rudy

Boyd G. Rudy, 76, of Enola passed away on February 18th, 2019. Born in Harrisburg, he is the son of the late Bernard G. & Betty Louise (Diehl) Rudy.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Coca Cola. He was an active member of the Enola First Church of God where he served as Deacon and taught Sunday School. He was an avid Hershey Bears fan, and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Carl M. Gontz

Passed into the light and into the arms of his loving God on February, 18, 2019, he was 83 years old. 

Born in Harrisburg on August 4, 1935 and remained in the area his whole life. After graduating from Harris High he went to work at the Evangelical Press. He retired after 43 years as a pressman and foreman at the Hargro Packaging Co. He served in the National Guard.

Max E. McDonald

Max E. McDonald, Sr., 86, went to join his Lord and Savior on February 7, 2019.  He was born on March 4, 1932, to the late William McDonald Sr. and Martha Dressler McDonald.

Max graduated from Greenwood High School in Millerstown, PA.  He retired from Quaker Oats where he was a machinist for 26 years.  Max was active in his church and traveled three times to Africa on mission trips.  He and his wife traveled to China, with him serving as a consultant to Quaker Oats when they built a plant in Shanghai.  His joy of traveling also took him to Australia, Egypt, and Antarctica.

Evelyn P. Miller

Evelyn P. Miller, 92, formerly of Enola, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Stonebridge Nursing Home, Duncannon.

Kenneth R. Johns

Kenneth R. Johns, 88, of Enola passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at home.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 10AM at East Harrisburg Cemetery, Harrisburg, PA.

Juanita E. Hendricks

Juanita E. Hendricks, 70, of East Pennsboro Township passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at home.

Surviving is her husband of 49 years, John Hendricks; a daughter, Rachel Warrick; 3 grandchildren, Avery, Maya, and Reese Warrick; 2 nieces and 3 nephews.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 10AM-11AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Thursday.

Burial will be private.
