Brenda S. Vazquez

Brenda S. Vazquez, 64, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully, at home on January 28th, 2019.

Brenda S. Vazquez was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Nancy and Dimko Angeloff Sr. on August 9th, 1954. She was a dedicated, long-time employee for the United States Postal Service. She was a free-spirited woman, who danced to the beat of her own drum. She will forever be remembered as having a heart of gold, and as a generous, caring, loving, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and best friend to all.

Genevieve Harshbarger

Genevieve Harshbarger 95, formerly of Enola passed away January 24, 2019 at the Church of God Home, Carlisle.  Genny was the widow of Harold E. Harshbarger Sr. to whom she was married for 60 years.  She was the daughter of the late John E. Burns and Carrie (Zeiders) Burns.

Paul Wagner

Paul Wagner, 59, of Summerdale passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Carolyn’s House Hospice Residence. 

Paul was the son of the late Hoffman S. and Jeanne M. Wagner. 

He was a 1977 graduate of East Pennsboro High School.  He made his livelihood as a tool and die maker.  He was a member of the Summerdale United Methodist Church.  He loved hunting, fishing and NASCAR. 

He is survived by his three brothers Glenn S. (Jane) of Felton, DE; Dennis G. of Mountville; David J. of Mechanicsburg and his sister, Priscilla F. Allandar (Ed) of Liverpool. 

Verna Marie Bostian

Verna Marie Bostian, 96, of Summerdale, formally of Sunbury passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 16th, 2019. 

She was the widow of Grant L. Bostian, daughter of the late Frank & Daisy Moyer.  Verna was the last of 10 children to enter heaven. 

Verna was retired from PA Dept. of Transportation.  She was a member of Cornerstone Independent Baptist Church. 

James E. (Jim) Heikel

James E. (Jim) Heikel, 75, of Enola, Pennsylvania, passed away, Friday, January 11, 2019, at home surrounded by his family.

Jim is survived by his wife Carole of 57 years, daughters Melissa Heikel Welker (Rob), Heidi Heikel Keim (Craig), son James Heikel (Nikki), daughter Amy Heikel White (Greg), sisters Ruth Sgrignoli (Rodger), Helen Harbold (Ron), Evelyn Brubacher, brothers Danny Heikel (Rose), Jack Heikel (Kathy), and sister Kate Haley and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Chet Heikel.

Joseph F. Whitaker III

Joseph F. Whitaker III (Joe), age 78, of Enola, passed peacefully on to Heaven, on Thursday, January 10, 2019, and ended his battle with pancreatic cancer.  Joseph was born on January 12, 1940, in Shamokin, PA to the late Joseph F. Whitaker, Jr. and Sarah Mary Whitaker. 

Donald R Warden

Donald R Warden, 80, of Camp Hill passed away peacefully at Holy Spirit Hospital on Friday, January 4, 2019.  

Born August 4, 1938 in Shippensburg, PA, he was the son of the late Paul and Virginia (Goodyear) Warden.  He served in the Marine Corps and later opened Warden’s Gulf Station in Carlisle which he owned and operated for over 30 years.  

Don faithfully attended Christian Life Assembly and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.

Jean M. Jama

Jean M. Jama, 72, of Camp Hill died December 27, 2018 in her home after a 12 month illness.

She retired from Highmark and Empire Blue Cross. Born on December 12, 1946 in Bethlehem, PA.

She was the daughter of the late Edwin J. and Marie (Knechel) Lerch.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edwin M. Lerch. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Joseph Jama; a son Gregory and his wife Amy of Lewisberry; a son Gary and his wife Michelle of New Cumberland; granddaughters, Caitlin Jama, Lauren Jama, Sydney Jama and Kennedy O'Brien.

Glendora Pauline Luther

Glendora Pauline Luther, 95, of the Church of God Home passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018.

Viewing will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 10AM-11AM at the Enola First Church of God, 9 Sherwood Dr. Enola PA. Services will begin at the church on Friday at 11AM. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.

Margaret Willard

Margaret P. Willard, 102, of Mechanicsburg, died December 11, 2018, at Brookdale Grandon Farms where she resided for the past ten years.  Born November 17, 1916, in Mowersville, PA, she was the daughter of Clarence and Sarah (Hosfeld) Paxton.

Margaret graduated from Shippensburg High School (class of 1934) and the former Carlisle Commercial College.  She retired as a cafeteria worker in the Cumberland Valley School District; and was a seventy year member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Kingstown, PA.
