Betty Elizabeth Sanchez (Heck)

Betty Elizabeth Sanchez (Heck) passed away November 7, 2013 in her home surrounded by family. She was born on October 10, 1942, the daughter of the late George and Grace Heck. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, sister and brothers. During Betty’s long battle with cancer her daughter, Christine cared for her day and night. She’s survived by her husband of 54 years, Pete Sanchez of Enola, along with a great-granddaughter, Brittany Miller at home. She also leaves behind two daughters, Christine Reid, husband Donny Reid of Enola.

Doris E. Benoist

Doris E. Benoist, 84 of Enola passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital, Camp Hill. Born in Marysville, PA she was the daughter to the late William and Betty (Messimer) Miller.

She worked as an insurance underwriter for the former Merchants & Businessmen Insurance Company. She was a member of the West Fairview United Methodist Church, West Fairview Fire Company Lady's Auxiliary, and the Lady's Auxiliary for the American Legion Post #984.

She was preceded in death by a son, Clifford A. Benoist, Sr., and a daughter, Yvonne Marie Hite.

Thomas C. Eckerd

Thomas C. Eckerd departed his earthly body on October 5, 2013.  He is survived by Pearl V. Eckerd, a loving wife of 60 years, 2 sons - Bruce and Thomas, 3 daughters - Candace Walsh, Robin Stouch and Susan Hutchens, also 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  In addition there are 2 brothers - John and Walter, 1 sister - Eileen Trout.

Ray K. Wevodau

Ray K. Wevodau, 69 of Silver Spring Township passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation, Carlisle.

Born in Mechanicsburg, he was the son to the late Warren and Cathrine (Kauffman) Wevodau.

He was a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, and was retired from the Hampden Township Parks and Recreation Department.

He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Men's Club, the Enola Sportsman's Club, and the Carlisle Fish and Game.

Teresa L. Wilt

Teresa L. Wilt, age 48 resident of Enola, PA, passed away on Saturday, Sep. 21, 2013 in the comfort of her home with her loving family. She was born on Jan. 23, 1965, daughter of Robert and Sherry Deibert.

Norma P. Egan

Norma P. Egan, 88, life long resident of Enola passed away on September 9, 2013 at the Lifecare Intermediate Hospital, Mechanicsburg.

She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Egan and a daughter, Susan.

She is survived by 2 sons; Kenneth and his wife, Janelle of Harrisburg and Ross and his wife, Deb of Middletown; a daughter, Marcia Egan of Lemoyne; a sister, Nancy Sheriff; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

John J. Scott

John J. Scott, 97, of Mechanicsburg, PA and formerly a resident of Philadelphia and Feasterville, PA. passed away on August 12, 2018 at Messiah Lifeways, Mechanicsburg, PA.

He was born December 20, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA to John and Olive (Daniels) Scott.

John was a 1938 graduate of Northeast Catholic High School in Philadelphia.

After high school he attended Temple University where he studied Journalism.

Raymond T. O'Keefe

Raymond T. O'Keefe, 84, of Enola, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Hospice of Central PA.

Born in Philly, raised in Shipoke, he was the son of the late Joseph and Jeanette O'Keefe.

Better known as "Tom", he is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carol, his daughter Debra A. Wancho (wife of Robert) of Etters; sons James K. of Washington D.C., and Michael T. of Manhattan; his grandchildren Joseph and Jeffrey of Etters; his sisters Delores Slough of New Jersey and Elizabeth Maglioco of Philadelphia; and brother Robert of Rhode Island.

Bertha M. (Bert) Krow

Bertha M.(Bert) Krow, 66, of Carlisle and formerly of Enola, passed away on December 19, 2014 at the Claremont Nursing Home, Carlisle.

She was the widow of Norvin B. "Big Daddy" Krow.

Bert was a retired manager of Wendy’s in Enola.

She is survived by 3 children, Tina M. Reasey, Karl R. Krow III, and Raymond E. Krow; a sister, Mary Davis, a brother, Henry Storm; 4 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 10AM-11AM at the Sullivan Funeral Home, Enola.

Services will begin at 11AM.
