Glenn D. Steyers

October 24, 1054 – May 5, 2021

Palmyra, PA – Glenn David Steyers, 66, of Campbelltown, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 5, 2021

Born October 24, 1954 in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Glenn Edward Steyers and Gloria Jean (Seifert) Stayers of State College.

A graduate of State College Area High School, he moved to south Florida in the early 1980s to begin a career with Crane Cams, Inc, eventually settling in Ormond Beach, FL.

A lengthy career with Crane Cams allowed Glenn to hone his craft and absorb an infinite amount of knowledge within his passion of making the best race engines possible. In 2003, after a move to south central PA, he decided to open his own business and created GS Products, Inc. Over the next 18 years, working with other industry professionals, he continued to create new lines of business as he was always continuing to find ways to help engine builders and customers in developing better usable power and torque. Glenn was a quiet man who was a hidden icon in the racing industry where his knowledge was highly valued and held close by those who knew him. The impact he had on the industry and his passing will be felt around the world. He loved that he made the world go faster!

In addition to his life partner, Karen (Rowland) Steyers, he is survived by one son, Timothy David Steyers of Hershey PA, as well as a brother James E. Steyers (Sue) and nephew Matthew of State College, PA, Uncle Ed and Aunt June Bingler of New Mexico as well as various cousins.

Per Glenn’s wishes, no public services will be held. A celebration of life picnic will be held on July 24, 2021 at 11 O Fox Road, Palmyra, starting at 1 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of his mother via their website at cancer.org.

  1. Glenn will be missed by many people, including me and my children. When we ran a lot of IHRA, Glenn was always there for us if we needed anything. He always treated myself, my wife, and my boys with respect. Glenn was one of the good guys in this sport we so dearly love. My condolences go out to all concerned. May he rest in peace with our Lord in heaven, God bless, my friend.
