Rodney Lee Keller
Rodney Lee Keller (53) passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 surrounded by family at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Rodney was born on August 29, 1966 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Clyde and Mabel Keller.
Rodney was a devoted father who was known for his generosity, compassion, and soft-spoken resolve. Anyone who has grown to know, and love Rod is abundantly aware of his humor and wit—no matter the occasion. Even until his final days, he remained a shining example of how important it is to enjoy life to the fullest. Whether that meant eating the best food around town, endlessly laughing at the shows he enjoyed, or playing with the late beloved family dog, Bella, he found the best in the world despite any obstacle.
In days past, the best times were often the simplest. Evenings at home with family were filled with good food and good fun around the house—Bella included, who would be found happily waving around her newest toy. The demands of life never got in the way of thousands of moments like these that, all strung together, show life well lived and well given. All of this was possible because of Rodney.
Beyond living life to his own bliss, he is remembered as a father who did everything to give his family the best life possible. Long hours. Late nights. Never a problem. All because Rodney knew his dedication would lift up his family. Rodney may not be with us in-person, but he is part of each of us by how he lived. We carry lessons learned, loving memories, and bright futures because of the impact Rodney had on those around him.
He is survived by his daughter and two sons: Megan, Brandon, and Joshua.
A small, private service will be held with limited invited guests due to COVID restrictions on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Sullivan Funeral Home.
The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Keller family.
