Allen E Miller Sr., 74, of Enola, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024. He was born October 3, 1949, to Herbert and Doris Miller. He was the widower of Gayle Miller (Urich). His parents and sister Karen also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children Nichole Heikel (James) and Allen E Miller Jr.
(Beth), grandsons Aidan and Morgan Miller, a half-brother Jack Miller,
four step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He enlisted in the United States Army during Vietnam. Once trained,
he was a member of the Army Security Services stationed in Germany.
He later went on to retire from the New Cumberland Army Depot.
He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 984, West Fairview, PA; VFW post 7415, New Cumberland, PA; and a former firefighter with the Goodwill Fire Company West Fairview, PA.
He fought cancer fearlessly for decades, a representation of the strength of his generation. He enjoyed deer hunting and horseshoes for many years. He liked to read and attend his grandsons’ events. He loved a warm sunny day, so, it does not go unnoticed that he passed away the night before the first snow.
A graveside service will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap on Thursday,
January 18,2024, at 10 AM. A processional will form at Sullivan’s Funeral Home
at 51 N. Enola Drive, Enola, PA 17025 and will leave promptly at 9 AM.
A luncheon will be held for those who wish to attend at the West Fairview American Legion following the service.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Veterans Administration.
