Belinda Rae Ewing, 57, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on December 31, 1967, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte Jakomas of Carlisle and John Jakomas of McKeesport, PA.
Belinda was a 1986 graduate of Carlisle High School.
Over the years, she worked as a cosmetologist, served as a devoted caregiver for a retired general, and later became a manager at Pilot Travel Center. Though she excelled in each role, her greatest joy and most cherished title was being a stay-at-home Grammy.
Her grandchildren were truly the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them.
Belinda is survived by her four daughters: Mary and husband Bryan Bradley; Rebekah Gibson; Megan and partner Matt Miluski; and Sky and husband Riley Novak; as well as her loving partner of several years, John (Eddie) Peregory. She leaves behind 12 beloved grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life: Nikolas, Landyn, Chase, Liam, Charlotte, Reese, Miles, MyLynn, Synsere, Savayah, Izzy, and Willow. Belinda is also survived by her sisters Suzanne Malcolm, Christine Adams, and Deb Yeager; her brother Donald (“Mooch”) Adams; and her aunt Jackie Bennett of McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Jakomas; her father, John Jakomas; her brother, Johnny Jakomas; her grandson, Andrew Margeson; and her husband, Robert Ewing.
Belinda will be remembered for her warm heart, her fierce love for her family, and the way she made every person she met feel cared for. Her legacy lives on in the children and grandchildren she adored beyond measure.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 4th, from 6:00–8:00 PM, as well as Friday, December 5th, from 10:00–11:00 AM, with services beginning at 11:00 AM. A meal will immediately follow the service. All services will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 2 Forge Road, Boiling Springs, PA 17007.
