Sarah E. Kempf, age 80, was called to rest on December 12 , 2025. Sarah was born on April 22, 1945, in Harrisburg, PA, to her late parents John R. Lucas and Marion Lucas.
She retired from Pheaa. She was the President of her church, Penbrook United Church of Christ council for over seven
years. She was also a volunteer secretary and Chair of several committees. Sarah enjoyed gardening, reading, baking and her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Rhoads of Harrisburg and Christine Huffer of Enola, her brother John R. Lucas II, and sister-in-law Jean Lucas of Halifax, PA. She also has 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services are to be held at Penbrook United Church of Christ, 56 Banks St, Harrisburg, PA 17103, on January 6th with Rev. Donna Hughes officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:00, services starting at 11:00 with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Penbrook UCC, 56 Banks St., Harrisburg, PA 17103.
