Susan J. Herrold, of Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania (formerly of Dornsife, Pennsylvania) passed away peacefully at Geisinger Hospital on Friday, October 23, 2026. Born September 15, 1947, Susan was a graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School in Dalmatia. Upon graduation, she married her high school sweetheart with whom she was married for nearly 60 years. While working full time and raising a family, Susan earned her Associates Degree from Harrisburg Area Community College with Phi Theta Kappa Honors. She retired from the Pennsylvania Medical Society as Associate Director of Human Resources. Susan enjoyed camping, going to the beach, attending car shows, reading and spending time with family and friends. She was a devout Christian and her faith was a very important part of her life.
Susan is survived by her mother, Joyce Phillips; her daughter Monica Fagan and son-in-law Joseph Fagan; her son Michael Herrold and daughter-in-law Sharon Herrold; her granddaughter Skyler Bell and grandson-in-law Devon Bell; her grandson Zachary Fagan; and her three great grandchildren Fabi Berrune, Kinsleigh Bell and Vincent Bell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Herrold and her father, Charles Phillips.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Sullivan Funeral Home 51 N Enola Dr, Enola, PA 17025. Services begin following visitation at the funeral home. Susan will be buried with her late husband at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery where a short service will also take place.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Susan’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
