Share Obituary!

Alice Marie (Rafftesaeth) Tritt, 81, formerly of Myersville, MD, passed away on Mother’s Day, May 13, 2018 at Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, PA. She was born in Buffalo, NY, on October 15, 1936 to the late Dorothy (Light) and Marion Rafftesaeth.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert K. Tritt, Sr.

She attended John Harris High School and Elizabethtown College and was a former employee of AMP.

During her teenage years, Alice brought joy to many as a talented organist and pianist with The Wednesday Club as well as various other organizations and churches throughout the Harrisburg area.

As a longtime resident of Myersville, she was an accomplished musician, seamstress, and avid volunteer in her community.  As former organist and pianist at both the Zion Lutheran Church (Middletown, MD) and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (Myersville), her music was heard and enjoyed by many.  She was a former employee of the Maryland State’s Attorney’s Office, and Baltimore Federal Savings and Loan.  Later in life she relocated, closer to family, to the Central Pennsylvania area.   All those left behind will remember Alice for a variety of reasons, but the common denominator to all will be thoughts of her kind, generous and loving spirit.

Cherishing her memory, she is survived by her son, Robert Tritt, Jr. of Maysville, WV; daughter, Andrea Shears (Nick) of Enola, PA; son, Ben Tritt (Michele) of King George, VA; Grandchildren Jessica Tritt of Ranson, WV; Haley Chiado (Dylan) of Denver, CO; Ben Shears of Pittsburgh, PA; Jacob Tritt (Perri) of Kodiak Island, AK; Samantha Tritt of Newport News, VA; Elijah Tritt of King George, VA; Brothers Benjamin Rafftesaeth of Gulfport, MS, and James Rafftesaeth (Patricia) of Cape May, NJ; Sister-in-law Marjorie Lehman of Lititz, PA; Loving best friend, Joe Webb of Frederick, MD.

A viewing will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 107 W. Main St, Middletown, Maryland on Friday May 18, 2018 from 1PM-2PM, immediately followed by a funeral service.

Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110, the Messiah Village Endowment Fund, 100 Mt. Allen Dr, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, or to Zion Lutheran Church.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Tritt family.
