Clair Eugene Fink, age 88, resident of Mechanicsburg, PA, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 30, 2022.
Clair was born in York County, PA to the late Grace R. (Ort) and Russel T. Fink on January 18, 1934.
He is survived by his sisters Lois Martorana and Janet Myers. He is pre-deceased by brothers, Ray, Dale, and infant Lee; sisters Marie Hess and infant June. Clair married his bride Joyce (Stoner) on December 6, 1958 and they raised three children, Blair Fink, Jewel Clarke and Holly Betts. He loved his six grandchildren, Sarah Fink, Rachel Fink, Hannah Betts, Lydia Zechman, Micah Betts and Benjamin Betts. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Ronan Fink, London Perry and Erika Zechman.
Clair was a graduate of Manchester High School and Penn State York. He retired in 1995 from AMP, Inc. as a packaging engineer with over 25 years of service.
Clair was a veteran, serving both in the U. S. Army and Air Force Reserves. He was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, Dillsburg, where he served as an usher. The Lord and family were the most important things to Clair.
He was also a big Penn State Nittany Lions fan, enjoyed antique cars, world history, and working outside where he took pride in landscaping around the house.
A very special thank you is extended to the staff of the Memory Care Unit at Homeland Center, Harrisburg for their support and compassion to both Clair and his family.
A private graveside service will be held at Paddletown Cemetery, Newberrytown. A Celebration of Life service is being planned for April.
