Share Obituary!

Donald W. Dolbin, Sr. (Donnie), 84, of Altoona, Pennsylvania, formerly of Harrisburg, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 10, 2026.

Born November 19, 1941, Donnie attended the Susquehanna Township High School.  He loved music of all eras, and genres.  He deeply enjoyed spending weekends at his camper at the Circle B Campground and boating/fishing at Raystown Lake with his children, grandchildren, and friends. Donnie was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Donnie worked in the food service industry selling and servicing coffee machines, which earned him the nickname “Coffee Man.”  During his long career with companies such as Oelwein’s, Sky Brothers, Sara Lee, and Burns Chemicals, he earned many sales awards.

Most importantly, Donnie loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He had a knack for making his family laugh, whether it be a story at the Thanksgiving table or pretending to kiss a fish he caught.  His grandkids loved their Poppy!

Donnie is survived by many who will miss him dearly including:  His children: Donald (Michele) Dolbin, Jr., Jennifer Osborn, David (Penny) Dolbin, and Roberta (Eric) Gill; brother: Gary Dolbin, nephew Richard (Laura) Basso, and niece Chris (Ralph) Miller; his grandchildren: Margaret and Kyle Dolbin, Bailey Dolbin, Amber Snyder, Jade Ott, and Luka Morrison; his great grandchildren: Aneira and Eris Corbin, Haven Replogle, Madelyn Ott, and Olivia Snyder; and his partner: Delphine Appleby.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Donald S. Dolbin and Marian Beaver (Waid); his sisters: Sheila Basso and Debbie Flynn, and his infant son: Kenneth Dolbin.

Donnie/Dad/Poppy will be deeply missed by all who knew and love him.  His legacy lives on in the life lessons taught to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM-11:00AM followed by the funeral at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Sullivan Funeral Home located at 51 North Enola Drive, Enola, PA.  Interment will then be at the Paxtang Cemetery at 490 North Paxtang Avenue, Harrisburg, PA.  All are welcome to the luncheon at the Enola Fire Company at 118 Chester Road, Enola, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Grane Hospice Services, 115 Union Avenue, Altoona, PA, United States, 16602.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dolbin family
