Edward Thomas “Tom” Fry, 70, of Enola passed away at the West Shore Hospital on November 13, 2015, surrounded by his wife and sons.   Tom was the youngest son of the late George and Ann Fry.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Paulette, and daughter, Ruth Ann, a brother, John, and a sister, Barbara Hawk.

Surviving are his wife Judy Germann Fry; his brother William and wife Elyzabeth Fry of Carlisle; a sister Virginia Beck of Georgia; two sons, Brad and wife Amy Fry, and Jeff Fry of Arizona; stepdaughter Stacy Lehman and George Stojkovich of Shippensburg; stepson Chet and wife Betsy Cohick of Palmyra; and grandchildren Noah and Taylor Fry, Kody Lehman; and Alex, Amanda, Becca and Dennis Cohick; along with many truly loved nieces and nephews.

Tom was a graduate from East Pennsboro High School where played baseball, basketball and football, and participated in school plays. He graduated from Kings College with a Bachelor of Science degree.  After college he joined the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War.  He worked at the Dauphin Deposit Bank at Kline Village as a senior account manager.  After leaving the bank, he joined the East Pennsboro Police Department where he served as a police officer for 27 years and as a detective for 24 of those years. 

First elected in 2003 and, then, re-elected in 2007, Tom served eight years as a member of the East Pennsboro Township Board of Commissioners.  He was an active member of the West Fairview American Legion Post 984 and served two years as Commander of the post. Additionally, he was the president of the post’s Board of Directors and a proud member of their Honor Guard.  He was also a member of the Enola Sportsmen’s Association and the VFW Post 7530.

Tom was an organ donor, and because of this gift he will be giving eyesight to two people.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11AM at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church 4685 Mt. Zion Dr. Enola PA 17025.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Patrol, 20 Westmoreland Drive, Carlisle, PA 17013 www.WoundedWarriorPatrol.org  100% of the donations goes to the wounded warriors.
