Mr. Edwin (Ed) J. Fisher, 62, of Mechanicsburg, PA, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 14, 2015.
He was the husband of Dorothy A. (Mahala) Fisher, formerly of Lansford, PA.
Born in Jim Thorpe, PA he was the son of the late Edwin J. Fisher, Sr. and Ellen McGowan Fisher.
He was a former employee of NEMF Trucking and the Quaker Oats Company.
Surviving is his wife, Dorothy; a sister, Ellen (Fisher) Selmasska (Carl) of Easton; step-brother, Dennis Smith of Fogelsville, PA; nephew of Sarah and Vernon Eckhart (deceased); several brothers and sisters-in-law, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ed was a proud foster parent of 6 children throughout the years.
He embraced his Catholic faith as a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Enola PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 1PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola. Visitation will be from 12PM-1PM on Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in St. Catherine Drexel Cemetery in Summit Hill PA at the convenience of the family.
Memorials in Ed’s honor may be made in the form of Mass Cards at the church of one’s choice.
