Evelyn R. Greenawalt, age 92, of Middletown, PA passed away peacefully at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
She was born in Harrisburg, PA on August 21, 1933, to the late Harold and Edna (Hahn) Crick.
Evelyn was a retired teachers aid in the Middletown School District and a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church for approximately 85 years. She was an avid sports enthusiast and loved watching her favorites that were the Philadelphia Phillies and Duke College Basketball. She also enjoyed dancing. Evelyn was all about the love and dedication she had for her husband, family and close friends.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years Jack R. Greenawalt; son Jack R. Greenawalt, Jr. and his wife Tina of Camp Hill; grandchildren Ryan, Andrew, and Eric Greenawalt and Jarrad Strausbaugh; great grandchildren Ryan Jr., Mariah, Miles, Peyton, Ethan and Sawyer Greenawalt; Kaylee and Brooklynn Strausbaugh. In addition to her late parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her daughter Jill Strausbaugh, sister Doris Titus and brother Ray Crick.
Services will be private.
