Filomena (Minnie) Baker, 96 of Enola completed her dash peacefully at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence in Harrisburg, on September 6, 2016.
Minnie was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Acri.
She was an Enola High school graduate in 1939.
During WWII she worked at Olmstead Air Force Base.
She was an antique dealer for over 50 years, and was a founding member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Enola.
She loved to travel, fish, and spend time with her family.
Anyone who knew her over the years knows she was a diehard football fan, (Notre Dame lost a huge fan).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Baker, great-grandson Luther David Byers; son-in-law Allen Rickenbach and her 3 brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Rickenbach of Enola; grandchildren Lisa Rickenbach-Arrasmith (James Arrasmith) of Enola, Lori Rickenbach-Rector (Donyule Rector), of Maine; five great-grandchildren L. Michael, Christine, Don’yell, Donavin, Delani; one great-great-grandson Carson Crum, and many other family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 11AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Enola.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
So ending with one of her favorite sayings, “well that’s that”.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice House, 1701 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg PA 17110.
The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Baker family.
