Francis Kanish passed away peacefully on November 18th at his Camp Hill residence surrounded by his family. He was born on August 23, 1934 in Cass, Pa, and attended Minersville High School. He was employed as a logistics foreman at the Mechanicsburg Navy Depot for over 25 years. He was a long standing member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Veronica. He is survived by his brother Phillip Kanish of Schuylkill Haven; and his daughters, Sylvia Kanish of New Philadelphia, Mary Thornton of Camp Hill, Patty Newsome of Texas, Michele Kanish of Camp Hill, and his son Joseph Kanish of Hollidaysburg. He is also survived by a son in law Eric Thornton of Camp Hill. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Thursday, November 21st from 6-8 PM at the Sullivan Funeral Home, Enola. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 10AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Enola. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday November 25th at 1pm.
