George Elmer Westfall, 88, passed away peacefully on January 21st, 2026, at his home in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
Born September 14th, 1937, George served his country with honor in the United States Army as part of the 83rd Artillery during the Vietnam War era, where he was stationed in Germany. His time in the service reflected his sense of duty, resilience, and quiet strength — qualities that remained with him throughout his life. After leaving the Army, he spent his civilian career as a long-distance trucker and diesel mechanic.
George was not only a hero to his country but also a guiding light to his family. He was a steady presence, a voice of wisdom, and a beacon who always led his loved one’s home — no matter how far life took them. His life exemplified dedication, faith, and unwavering love.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Kathlynn Westfall; his daughter, Lori Wright; and his son, George Daniel Westfall. His legacy continues through his ten cherished grandchildren: Rachelle Dodd, Jordan Westfall, Virginia Westfall, Coty Wright, Shiloh Wright, Jarrett Westfall, Brandon Westfall, Reece Westfall, Brice Westfall, and Malerie Westfall, as well as 23 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Nancy Stoltzer and Betty Thomas, and brother Lloyd Westfall.
George’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved and guided, and in the faith he so humbly embodied. We take comfort knowing he now rests in the eternal peace of the Lord.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered by all whose lives he shaped.
