Gerald Fortunato, “Jerry”, of Hampden Township, Enola, PA passed away at Messiah Lifeways on June 8th, 2017. He was born in Germantown, PA on March 8, 1943.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deb of 20 ½ years; step-children, Stephanie Portmann (AJ), William Houdeshell (Julie), and Scott Houdeshell (Emily); 3 step-granddaughters, Alex, Brooke and Tori; 2 step-grandsons, Tyler and Cody; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was a “big man” with a generous heart and will truly be missed.
Almost 19 years ago he was given the “Gift of Life”. That gift of a lung allowed him to have a good life with his family and friends.
Jerry retired from PSERS in 1996 and he served in the Air Force with a tour in Vietnam.
Burial will be private.
The family requests no flowers.
