Gregory F. Schindler, 68, a lifelong resident of Harrisburg, PA, passed away at Community General Osteopathic Hospital on July 15, 2017.
Born on October 10, 1948, he is survived by his niece, Denise Ready and her two brothers, his cousin Kathleen Snyder Brenneman (David) and other cousins and friends.
A graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, he was employed for forty years by the Department of Labor and Industry of Commonwealth of PA. He loved his cats, was active in the Green Street Vegetarian Group and the Wellness Supper Club and was interested in ballet, classical music, opera, house tours, the Renaissance Faire, Halloween sites and ethnic Eastern European festivals.
Gregory was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Grace Crider Schindler, his brother Dennis and his sister Kathleen. He was a devout attendee of churches of the Orthodox faith and considered part of the Holy Apostles Orthodox Church, 7111 Wertzville Road, Enola, PA.
A graveside service will be held there on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at 6:00 P.M., with a Memorial Fellowship to follow in the church. Please give donations to that church at the above address.
