Harry Lynn Shumaker, 95, of Marysville, formerly of Enola, passed away on February 15, 2015 at Holy Spirit Hospital.
He was born on October 21, 1919 in Blain, PA, he was the son to the late Floyd and Blanche Shumaker.
He was a retired Chief of Police for East Pennsboro Township serving the Township for 25 years.
He was an Army veteran serving in WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Harry Lynn was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Police Chief Association of PA.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Grace Ellen (Adams) Shumaker to whom he was married for 67 years. He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, 8 sisters, and one granddaughter.
Harry Lynn is survived by a son, Larry Shumaker (Carol); a daughter, Virginia Wesley (Richard); a sister, Evelyn Kemberling; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 6-8PM and on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 10AM-11AM at the Sullivan Funeral Home, Enola.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Assn. or Hospice of Central PA.
