Haydn T. Evans, Jr., 85, of Enola, Pennsylvania passed away and entered into eternal life Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence in Linglestown Pa.
He was born October 29, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre, PA where he attended and graduated from James M. Coughlin High School.
He was since retired but served proudly as a member of the 3rd Battalion 6th Marine Division headquartered in Camp Lejeune NC.
He is survived by his sisters Carol Evans of Wilkes-Barre PA, Sharon Riotto of Brandon Florida, and his brothers David Evans of Murrells Inlet South Carolina, and Gary Evans of Bear Creek Twp., PA .
He is also survived by his four loving daughters, Debra Evans of Camp Hill PA, Donna Evans of Enola PA, Diane McBride and husband, Rick of Enola PA, and Denise Jones and her husband George of Lawrenceville GA. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Jason McBride and Ashley Ewing, as well as five great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 2PM-3PM at the Sullivan Funeral Home located at 51 N. Enola Dr. Enola PA 17025. Services will begin at 3PM on Sunday.
Interment will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania 1320 Linglestown Road Harrisburg PA 17110.
