Howard L. Yohe, age 85, from Enola, PA and formerly a longtime resident of Jersey Shore, PA entered into eternal rest at his home on October 11, 2014 with family by his side.
He was born on June 21, 1929 in Jersey Shore, PA. He was the son of Claude and Elizabeth Yohe. Howard was the sixth of eleven children. He was the brother to Jesse Yohe, Jack Wensel, Lois Mae, Harry Dale, Claude William, one surviving sister Janet Francis (Burt), and four siblings who passed away during infancy. Howard is survived by his wife, Dora (Guy) and daughter Claudia Ann (Thomas) Boyer of New Cumberland and his three grandchildren, Mallary Gallaher (Josh), Karyn Raspey (Tyler), Michael Boyer, and great-grandson Easton Gallaher. In addition, he also played the role of father figure to five nieces and nephews through his marriage to Dora. They are Daniel Baker (Traci), Susan Silva (Ivan), Bonnie Baker (Dale), Wendy Baker (Gary) and Robert Baker (Danielle). Also, he is Pop-Pop to Shawn Kassay, Brandon Silva, Elizabeth Silva, Sarah Wong, Brittiany Phillips, Jarrid Baker, Nicole Baker, Corrie Baker, Adam Baker, Patrick Eisworth, Paisley Baker and Daniella Baker. Howard is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.
Howard was the owner of Yohe Motors in Jersey Shore for many years. Recently he was employed by Giant Foods in Enola and loved meeting the customers. He was a member of the Summerdale United Methodist Church men’s class and recently, chair of the endowment committee.

A memorial service will be held at the Summerdale United Methodist Church on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM Family and friends will be received from 10:00AM to 11:00AM, with services following. Interment will be held at the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church of Morris, PA at the convenience of the family.
