Jack D. Priest, 96, of Lemoyne and formerly a long-term resident of East Pennsboro Township, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
Born in Progress, PA on November 24, 1927, he was the son of the late John W. and Florence J. Priest. He was also pre-deceased by his three brothers, two sisters, and his son-in-law, Jim Brown. Jack was the devoted widower of Lois B. Priest.
Jack grew up in Enola and graduated from Enola High School in 1945 and Elizabethtown College in 1950. He served in the U.S. Navy at the end of WWII. Jack was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Enola. He was retired from the PA Department of Education. After retiring, he and Lois spent many years traveling and enjoying family.
Surviving Jack are two daughters, Kathy Brown and Jackie Behney (Neal Kirk), grandchildren, Kristen Richey (Charles), Alex Behney (Angela), and Derek Behney, along with three great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Oliver, and Ariella. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was devoted to his family.
Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 12:30pm at Ft. Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA 17003.
