John F. Finnegan III, 77, of Enola, PA passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital.
He was the son of John F. Finnegan, Jr. and Eleanor Marie (Krasny) Finnegan of Rochester, NY.
He was a graduate of Timon High School, class of 1966.
John worked for the New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation; a loan officer for the city of Buffalo; a manager of the Tandy Corporation; and was a Vice President of Certified Reports.
John was also a long- time resident of South Buffalo, NY.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret Mary Monan Finnegan; 3 sons, John F. Finnegan IV (Patricia O’Brien), Brian J. Finnegan (Bruce Kahl), and Stephen J. Finnegan (Kristen Smothers).
Surviving siblings are Michael Finnegan, Peter Finnegan, and Mary Cruz
Deceased siblings are Timothy Finnegan and Patricia Robinson.
He is also survived by multiple granddaughters, nieces, and nephews.
An evening visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 6PM-8PM at the Sullivan Funeral Home 51 N. Enola Dr. Enola PA 17025.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna NY on June 10, 2026 at 11AM.
