  1. My mother really loved her friend “Ol’ Navy”, and I was truly sad to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his wonderful wife, sweet devoted daughter, and his equally devoted granddaughter. The fact that this man was so greatly loved and respected by his family shows what a truly remarkable human being he was. I will miss he and my mom saluting each other. I know she was one of the many waiting for him and saying “welcome home Ol’ Navy, we salute you” ????

  2. So sorry to hear about Joe. I met Joe and Betty at the USS Hornet reunions. I loved talking to him about just about anything. Such a sweet man. Prayers for Betty and family.
