Judith A. Rhinehart

Share Obituary!

Judith Ann Rhinehart, age 77, of Hampden Township, PA passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in Camp Hill.  Judy was born in Harrisburg in 1947 to Charles and Madelyn Baker.

She graduated from East Pennsboro Area High School in 1964 and went on to work at Bell Telephone, Navy Ships Parts Control Center and Highmark.

Judy was the widow of James G. Rhinehart, her beloved husband of 48 years.  She is survived by her daughters Deborah Hagen and husband James of Enola, Jamie Lester and husband William III of Mechanicsburg, and Cynthia Rhinehart of Camp Hill; grandchildren Sarah, Matthew, Nathaniel, Breanna, Willow, Cathryn and Ezra; sister Virginia Bitner and husband Drew of Lewisberry and brother William and wife Linda of Milton, DE.  In addition to her parents, a brother, Steven Baker, preceded her in death.

Judy was proud of the house she and Jim built in 1978 and she took great pleasure in making it a home.  Her kitchen greeted visitors with vintage country music and the aroma of something delicious wafting from the oven.  Her yard was a constant work in progress, and she never gave up mowing, planting, weeding and raking.  She held deep appreciation for natural beauty:  the sunset view from her kitchen windows, the sound of the spring peepers and the fragrance of peonies in bloom.  Above all, her grandchildren were her heart’s greatest joy, and she cherished every minute she spent with them.

Judy was a member of Enola Emmanuel United Methodist Church and the Historical Society of East Pennsboro.

Services will be private.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Rhinehart family.
