Julia A. Townsend (Funt), 88 of Summerdale passed away peacefully on February 11, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was born January 14, 1930 in West Fairview to the late Casimiro and Marie DiPaolo (Giannantonio.)
She retired from Amp Inc. after many years of service. She and her husband Eldon enjoyed camping and traveling in their RV, fishing, sports and spending time with family and friends.
Julia leaves behind her husband, Eldon Townsend, daughters Carolyn Minich of Enola, Donna Evans (Rich) of Etters, Cathy Stone (Larry) of Enola, and Denise Amig (Kurt) of Enola, 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 step-daughters, Linda Townsend, Jane Tuckey and their families. Also surviving are her sisters Cora Rider and Jennie Messimer both of Enola.
She was also preceded in death by brothers Anthony and Joseph and sisters; Rose Franceschino, Anna Brown, Susie Russo, Gilda Scalia and sons-in-law William Minich and Richard Lebo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes (225 Salt Rd., Enola) on Friday, February 16 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Stone Church Cemetery.
