Kerry Lynn Jumper, 67, of Shermansdale passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in her home as the result of a house fire.
She was born on September 6, 1957, in Harrisburg to Robert and Charlotte Neidig.
She is survived by her mother Charlotte Neidig; two sons, Trevis Jumper of Marysville and Nathan Jumper of Shermansdale; three grandchildren and dear friends who will carry her memory with them always.
She was preceded in death by her husband Victor “VJ” L. Jumper Jr, son Joel Jumper, and father Robert Neidig.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 132 E. Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
A graveside memorial service follows at 12 p.m. in Young’s Church Cemetery, Shermansdale.
The family requests attendees to wear purple in honor of her life.

I am shocked and dismayed to hear about Kerry! I had no idea that she was gone. At one time, I lived fairly close to her and her late husband. We called him VJ, and he was best friends and fellow bandmate (The Shades of Dawn) with my significant other, who has also passed away. I was heartbroken when her youngest son, Joel, died in a car accident several years after his father passed away. This is so much tragedy for her remaining sons, Trevis and Nathan. I also offer my deepest condolences to Kerry’s mother. May God bless them for the rest of their days.
