Larry Merle Shuey, 79, of West Fairview, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Carlisle.
Born on September 29, 1935 in West Fairview, he was the son of the late Earl and Oneida (McBride) Shuey. On April 27, 1956, he was married to Patricia (Keys) Shuey. Over Larry’s career, he worked for Kitzmiller Roofing, was self-employed in a home improvement business, and finally retired from F&L Fluid Components. Earlier in life, he belonged to Old Winchester Hunting Club and Old Hickory Rod & Gun Club, both located in Slate Run, Pennsylvania. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking but most importantly, he loved the time spent with his wife and family.
In addition to his wife Patricia, he is survived by two sons, Daniel S. Shuey (wife, Lisa) of Marysville; Douglas A. Shuey (wife, Amber) of Florida; two daughters, Wanda J. Gump of Carlisle; Dora L. Brewbaker of Enola; four grandchildren, Zachary, Megan, Jessica, and Jared.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 7PM at Sullivan Funeral Home, 51 N. Enola Drive, Enola PA, 17025. Visitation will be held from 6-7PM prior to the service.
