Orian R. “Abe” Brashear, 91, of Enola passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg.
He was born in New Kingston on March 6, 1926, a son of the late Anna G. (Jones) and Walter F. Brashear.
Abe worked as a butcher at the A&P Markets, Kessler’s, and Spungin’s Meats. He also had his own deer processing shop at his residence in Enola well into his late 70’s/early 80’s.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Fay Brashear, and a grandson, Ronald E. Wright, Jr.
Surviving are 4 daughters, Pamela K. Wiehagen, Lona J. Hockenberry, Julie R. Zeiders, and Vicki S. Wright; 4 sons, Dennis W., Kelly R., Craig A., and James B. Brashear; 3 brothers, Ross W. and Donald W. Brashear, and Barry R. Simmons; 14 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 10AM-11AM at the Summerdale United Methodist Church.
Services will begin on Monday at 11AM.
Burial will be in Longsdorf Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
