Robert F. Ensminger Jr., 83, of Enola passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23 at home. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Robert F Ensminger, Sr. and Jean Fuller Coulson.
Robert graduated from Central Dauphin High School and was retired from Irwins/Lenkerbrook Farms Dairy. He later worked as a shuttle driver for Sutliff Saturn and Volkswagon a job he enjoyed with his coworkers.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca (Hidlay) Ensminger; his daughters, Yvonne Morgan and husband Sam and Michelle Ensminger; his stepchildren Douglas Sorber, David Sorber and wife Staci, and Diane Mann and husband Scott. Five step-grandchildren also survive him, Joshua, Justin, Jared, Lacey and Katelyn, all of whom he adored, and he told them often how proud he was of their accomplishments. His sister, Carolyn Levinthal survives him as well as one niece and two nephews. He was predeceased in death by his brother, Thomas Ensminger.
Bob was loved dearly by his family and most of all by his grandchildren. He will live on in their hearts forever.
A private celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date with burial at the convenience of his family.
