Robert L. Wagner, Sr., 91, of Enola passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the West Shore Hospital.
He was born in Mount Carmel, PA on March 29, 1927, a son of the late Grace (Hull) and Earl Wagner.
Robert served in the U.S. Army during WWII achieving the Army of Occupation Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.
Robert was a retired carpenter with the Carpenter’s Local #287.
He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the Mechanicsburg VFW, a life member of the Mount Carmel American Legion, and a life member of the Enola Sportsman’s Club.
He was an avid football fan who followed Notre Dame, Penn State, and the Mount Carmel Area High School football program.
Robert is survived by his wife, Rita; a daughter, Kathy A. Myers; 2 sons, Robert L. Wagner, Jr. (Cindy) and Kevin M. Wagner (Joan); a brother, David Wagner; 8 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Richard J. Wagner and Kenneth E. Wagner.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 9AM-10:30AM at Sullivan Funeral Home 51 N. Enola Dr. Enola PA 17025.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Burial with military honors will be in Rolling Green Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Enola.
