Ronald A. Magaro, 80 of Enola passed from this life peacefully at home on April 30, 2018.  Born on September 13, 1937 in Enola to the late Andrew E. Magaro and Lucetta(Lutz)Magaro, he graduated from Harrisburg Catholic High School (Bishop McDevitt).  
 
On his seventeenth birthday Ron enlisted in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and honorably served his country for 37 years, retiring as First Sergeant from the 3622 Maintenance Company where he was affectionately called “Top”.  Ron was also employed as a driver at Eastern Express for 15 years and New Penn Motor Express for 17 years.
 
A past volunteer in multiple organizations involving his children, such as EPYAL, Chapel Hill Boy Scouts, and East Penn Band Boosters. Ron was always ready with a helping hand.  A member of Teamsters Union Local 776, East Pennsboro Historical Society, and Holy Name Society.  He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching his Eagles win the 2018 Super Bowl.
 
Ron is survived by two sisters, Yvonne Chupa, Michele Landis and two brothers, Patrick and Brian Magaro.  A loving wife of 60 years, Dorothy “Dotty”(Jones) Magaro, four children, twelve grandchildren, and one great grandson.  Son Phillip Magaro, wife Gretchen with children Makenzie and Samantha; son Ronald “Marny” Magaro, wife Andrea with children Andrew (wife Shannon), David (wife Kelly, son Jaden) Matthew, Marni, Andrea, and Suzanna: son Joseph Magaro, wife Shawnee with child Andre; daughter Rona Magaro with children Shelby, Sophia, and Siera Hawk.
 
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 8, from 6-8 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and on Wednesday, May 9, from 10-11 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial and a luncheon at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 225 Salt Road, Enola, PA 17025 where Ronald was a lifelong, active member.  Burial is at Fort Indiantown Gap with full Military honors following the luncheon.

Ron was a loving husband and father throughout his life.  He will be loved and remembered forever.
