Ruth Loretta Martin, 78, of Bells Landing, Mahaffey RD, and formerly of West Fairview/Enola, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville, PA.
Born June 23, 1937 in Steelton, PA, she was the daughter of Harry and Martha V. (Radisill) Beistline. Mrs. Martin had served as a cook at both the Army Depot in New Cumberland and the Naval Depot in Mechanicsburg. She was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church and a former member of the West Fairview United Methodist Church.
She had wed Edwin Olin Martin who preceded her in death on June 18, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Eddie Martin, a sister Marian Bradley, and 3 brothers Harry, James, and Richard Beistline.
Surviving is a daughter Diane Stephenson of Bells Landing, Mahaffey RD, a granddaughter Jennifer Sharpless and husband Bob of Curwensville, 2 great grandchildren Marcus Stephenson and Kennady Sharpless of Curwensville, and 2 brothers Barry Beistline of Harrisburg and Ronald Beistline and wife Peggy of Kylertown.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Martin will be held at the Sullivan Funeral Home 51 N Enola Dr. Enola, PA 17025 on Saturday August 1, 2015 at 4 PM, with the Reverend W. Keith Rockwell officiating. Interment will be in the Enola Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Enola, PA
Friends will be received at the Sullivan Funeral Home on Saturday from 2 to 4 PM.
