
Terry L. Yinger, 66, of Lemoyne, beloved husband and father passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 11, 2017 at Select Medical in Holy Spirit Hospital.
Born August 3, 1950 at Seidel Memorial Hospital in Mechanicsburg, PA, he was the son of the late John A. and Beatrice A. Yinger.
Terry was a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran during Vietnam. He spent most of his life in the food industry retiring from both Giant Foods and Karns Foods’ stores. As an additional job, Terry worked at Lowe’s for many years.
He spent much of his life as an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed nature, animals and above all the PITTSBURGH STEELERS! His love for football and his team were known by everyone that knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Yinger.
Terry is survived by his loving wife, Melanie J. Eslinger; his “big” sister Carolyn Kraly of Mechanicsburg; one daughter, Erika Kline and her husband Stanley of Etters; two sons, Nathan Yinger and his wife Diane of Lewisberry; Bryan Yinger of Harrisburg; one step-daughter, Becky Kramer and her husband Nevin of Etters; one step-son, Jeremy Oberdorf and his wife Samantha of Elizabethtown; six beloved grandchildren: Ian Kline, Evan Kline, Mason Kline, Megan Yinger, Hope Kramer, Brooke Oberdorf and Amber Oberdorf; and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Christ Community Church in Camp Hill on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 6-7pm followed by a 7pm service. He will be laid to rest by immediate family with military honors at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
