William A. Hoover, 73, of East Pennsboro Twp., died Monday, November 9, 2020, at home. He was born January 20, 1947 in Harrisburg, PA, to the late Pauline (Alberta) and John S. Hoover, Sr.

Bill was a local barber for over 50 years.  He was devoted to his grandchildren, Jordan and Carly.  Bill had a great sense of humor and loved his family and friends.  
Bill attended Scotland School for Veterans Children.  He remained close with his classmates over the years.

In addition to his parents Bill was predeceased by his siblings, John S. Hoover Jr. and Peggy A. Zapcic.
Surviving Bill is his daughter, Kimberly A. (Hoover) Smith and husband Kevin D. Smith of Mechanicsburg, PA; 2 grandchildren, Jordan T. Long of Philadelphia, PA and Carly E. Smith of Mechanicsburg, PA; brother, Robert J. Hoover (and wife Tammy) of Elizabethville, PA; sister-in-law, Beverly P. Hoover of Harrisburg, PA.; and several nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19, a private memorial service will be held at Sullivan Funeral Home at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hoover family.

  1. Uncle Billy was very stylish! Always on point when he went out. Great guy to talk to and always had great advice for me in my younger years. Rest easy Uncle Billy until we meet again … then we’ll put on our dancing shoes!
