Allen C. Carmichael Sr. “Butch”, 75, of Enola, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late George Carmichael and Yvonne Kirk, he was born April 17, 1944 in Harrisburg.
Butch was a graduate of East Pennsboro Area High School and was a member the undefeated 1959 football team. He loved old westerns and country music. The Delaware beaches and Nashville were among his favorite places to vacation, but spending time on his deck around the pool with his family was certainly his biggest joy. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 52 years Linda Wittle Carmichael. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Allen Carmichael Jr. and wife Cheryl Koozer of New Cumberland, and Ken Carmichael and wife Amy Hershner of Enola, 5 grandchildren: Dylan, Morgan, Jackson, Mason, and Peyton, and sisters: Louise Hite and Janna Kirk.
Butch was preceded in death by his step-father, James J. Kirk and a brother, James B. Kirk.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 from 10 am to 12 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home in Enola, PA. A memorial service will be held following the visitation at 12 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any contributions be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Rd. Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Sorry to hear of Allan’s passing. He was a great person with a very careing wife and family. May he rest in pease. (Keep the Faith). The Shuler Families
My condolences to the family. He was a character, for sure! One of his antics involved a cat and a tree! You had to be there. Rest In Peace Butch. You will forever be in our hearts. Prayers for comfort for his family and God Bless all of you!
I have known Janna, Jimmy, Butch and Louise since I was a little girl. Janna’s family were like my second family. When I was about 12 years old, I remember Butch was home and he was the first boy that taught me to slow dance. I thought I was big stuff that day. Butch was always a great guy and I will never forget him. Rest In Peace Butch, you can finally see the beauty of heaven.❤️?.
