Bonita Eilene Gill (Foster)

Share Obituary!

Bonita Gill of Enola, PA went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 8, 2025. She was 78 years old. “Bonnie” was born August 28, 1946. Bonnie possessed a strong faith and found peace in Jesus.

Bonnie worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture for twenty-eight years. She attended East Pennsboro High School and grew up in Enola.

Bonnie was married to Gerald “Bumper” Gill for over sixty-one years. She dedicated herself to her family and friends, enjoying laughter, jokes, and playful teasing with her siblings and children. Bump and Bonnie made many close friends throughout their marriage and were often seen dancing at a local club. She had a deep love for music and could still recognize numerous contemporary pop bands as well as classic rock groups.

Beyond her husband, Bonnie held her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dear, as they were her love and passion. She is survived by her husband, Gerald “Bumper” Gill; two children, Lori Ann Cartmill (Rick) and Steve Gill (Meredith); four grandsons: Joshua Cartmill (Emily), Brandon Cartmill (Molly), Tyson, and Cooper Gill; and her baby great-granddaughter, Riley Cartmill. Bonnie was the youngest of five children of William and Gerry Foster, who passed many years ago. She is survived by her sister, Linda Morgan (Don) of Enola. Her other siblings, William, Richard, and Joanne, preceded her in passing.

Bonnie was a caregiver, which is why she was often seen with a little companion by her side. Her trusty companion, Bella, brought her countless hours of joy. Bonnie was passionate about football and was a dedicated Penn State fan. During the holiday season, she collected snowmen, which filled her home with festive cheer. She also took great pride in her beautiful flower beds.

Bump and Bonnie loved camping, starting with tents and progressing to full-sized campers. Most weekends, they could be found in their camping community in Lebanon County, gathered around campfires, chatting and laughing with friends. She will always be remembered for her quick wit and abundant love for her family.

A memorial service to celebrate Bonnie’s life will be held at Sullivan Funeral Home, 51 N. Enola Dr., Enola, PA 17025, on Saturday, March 15th, 2025. Visitation is 10-11 am, and the Memorial Service is at 11 am. A private burial service will be held at a later date. Bonnie was dearly loved and will be missed by her family and friends.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Gill family.
