Bonnie Lou (Martin) Fox

Share Obituary!

Bonnie Lou (Martin) Fox of Enola, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the age of 73.

Bonnie was born on June 28, 1953 in Fisherville, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of Miriam Lesher.  Her early life was positively shaped by the presence of her great-aunt, Verna “Aendi” Long, and her grandmother, Ella Zimmerman.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Francis Fox, and her two sons, Sean Fox, and Nick Fox and his wife, Kara.  She is also survived by her siblings, Rose Keefer and her husband Bill, Ron Martin and his wife Mary, and David Martin and his wife Marilyn.  She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Clarence Lesher.

Known as “Grammy” and “Mammy”—Bonnie cared deeply for her three grandchildren, Ash Fox, James Fox, and Ryan Fox.  She cherished her time spent with each one; they were the joy of her life.

Bonnie graduated from Halifax Area High School, and she worked for the majority of her career at the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.

Bonnie was a selfless individual that is remembered by all for her kind spirit and willingness to help anyone.  Bonnie loved plants, flowers, and all things nature.  She was recognizable to neighbors and friends for having several Dalmatians over the years.

Bonnie was an excellent cook and an even better baker.  She loved preparing a holiday meal for her family, where her table would overflow with every side dish a guest could possibly want.  Her rum cakes, chocolate cake, and tropical pie are legendary.

Bonnie was a devout Christian.  She was a long-time member of Word of Life Chapel in Halifax, PA—she loved spending time there and participating in church functions.

Services will be held at Word of Life Chapel, 27 Fellowship Drive, Halifax, PA 17032 on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.  Visitation will begin at 10AM, followed by a memorial service at 11AM.  Friends and family are invited back to the church for a meal after conclusion of the services.

Memorial contributions in Bonnie’s memory may be made to her church, which she was proud to support.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Fox family.
