Bret Lee Bennett, 60, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly March 4, 2020. Bret was born on February 8, 1960 in Harrisburg, PA. He was preceded in death by his mother Joan Plantz, step-father Morris “Boone” Plantz, father Daniel Bennett, nephew Ryan Bennett, and brother Russell Bennett.

He is survived by his son Tylor, daughter Tessa, grandson Leo, unborn granddaughter Emiya, step-mother Patricia Bennett, brothers: Mark Bennett (spouse Marie), Jay Bennett (Fiance Helene Ebright), and Kevin Plantz, sisters: Tonya Morrison (spouse Tim), Dana Tucker (spouse Herb), and Melissa Plantz (spouse Timothy Mullenhour). He also has many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Sullivan Funeral Home, 51 N. Enola Drive, Enola, PA 17025 from 2-4pm.

Bret was a very loving and giving person. His favorite thing in the world was hunting and being outdoors. He loved to camp, whether he was with his buddies while hunting, with his friends and family at Knoebels or at the beach. Bret wasn’t always the one up for a party like he was in younger days, but he sure knew how to make everyone laugh. He was the king of holy board (at least that’s what he thought), but he was never a sore loser. He loved to see people have fun. Bret was an overall hard working, loving and gentle man who always made sure his children were always taken care of.

In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to the Ryan M. Bennett Memorial Fund C/O Charity Smith Nonprofit Foundation, 13100 Filly Lane, Trucker, CA.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Bennett family.
