Carole Ann (Wittle) Heikel, 81, of Enola, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Claremont Nursing Home surrounded by her three daughters. She was born and raised in Enola, PA.

She was the daughter of the late George and Evelyn Wittle. She was raised by her late Uncle and Aunt C. W. (Bill) and Winifred Carr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Heikel, Sr. Surviving are her children Melissa Welker (Rob), Heidi Keim (Craig), James Jr. (Nikki) and Amy White (Greg), and seven grandchildren Jason, Josh, Andrew Jimmy, Andrew, Amanda and Joey, eight great-grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Heather, Lilly, Maddie, Levi, Emma and Bennie. Many nieces and nephews.

Surviving are her brother Donald Wittle and her sister Linda Carmichael. Preceded in death by her brothers Robert Wittle and George Wittle.

Carole graduated from East Pennsboro Area High School, class of 1961. She was a dedicated member of the Democratic Party, working for several State Senators. She retired in 2008 from The Senate of PA, Senator Robert Mellow’s Office. Carole was a member of her The EEUMC Choir, East Pennsboro Youth Athletic League (EPYAL), Democratic National Committee and Democratic State Committee.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sullivan Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10:00-am-11:00am on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Enola Emmanuel United Methodist Church located at 22 Salt Road, Enola, PA 17025 with service following.

Burial is at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Homeland Hospice, Memory of Carole Heikel, 1901 North 5th Street, Harrisburg, PA 17102.
