
David Lee Weyandt Sr., 74, of Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania formerly from New Stanton Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at 6:18 AM at Claremont Nursing Home surrounded by his family. He was born February 28, 1949, in New Stanton Pennsylvania to the late Maurice and Dorothy (Christner) Weyandt. David was a Journeyman Machinist for Calabrese and Sons for 25 years before retiring.
David loved going on Deep Sea fishing trips, camping, and NASCAR races. He enjoyed feeding the birds, and deer. He also enjoyed watching all the animals outside the window. He loved being surrounded by his family. David was always referred to as the jack of all trades. He would do anything to help anyone.
David leaves behind his wife Wanda (Jones) of 50 years. Six children, David Jr. (Rebecca), Michael, Christine (Gene), John, Richard (Jaclyn), Lisa, and foster son Brian “Bird” Murray. Twelve grandchildren Angel (Brandon), Sariha, Belinda (David), Brianna (Jake), Steven, Kelli (Patrick), Zackary, Zoe, Madison, Brooklyn, Dylan, Sybrina, Maci, Matthew. Great-grandchildren Arianna, Marilyn, Zane, Maddi, Miya, Meya, Layne, and Sylas. Three sisters Dorothy (Richard) Spears, Shelley (James) Gettins, and Rose (Richard) Reed. One brother Bruce. Sister-in-law ‘s Dianne, Judie.
In addition, by his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers Maurice Jr., Walter, Gary, and Stephen. A sister-in-law Darlene. Son-in-law Brent Dunkleberger.
Per David’s request, no services will be held.
The family would like to thank Homeland Hospice and Claremont Nursing Home for their excellent support during this difficult time.
