Laura Garner, age 86, of Enola, PA passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, New Year’s Day, January 1, 2025  with her family by her side.

Laura was born on December 20, 1938 in Carlisle, PA to Frank and Bessie Bernhisel. She married, had four children.  She was a stay at home mom for many years and later worked at a small family owned restaurant, a sewing factory and at McCoy Electronics Co. 

When her grandchildren were born she dearly loved them and helped to raise them. She was always there to support her family with whatever they needed.

After retiring at age 70, her family remained her main focus. She enjoyed spending time with them and spoiling the family pets. Laura was sweet and kind to everybody who knew her. She was loved beyond words and will be greatly missed. 

Laura is survived by daughters, Debra Lawyer, Athena Lawyer and JoAnn Funk and husband Craig; son, Eugene Lawyer; grandchildren Lynzey Lawyer, Austin Lawyer and Travis Lawyer;  sister, Alice Wallace ; and nephew, Paul Sipe. 

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her half-sister Virginia Johnson and her half-brother William Sampson.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 10AM-11AM at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 51 N. Enola Drive, Enola, PA 17025.

Services will begin on Friday at 11AM.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Garner family.
